چکیده

In many practical engineering situations, a source of vibrations may excite large and flexible structure such as ship’s deck, an aeroplane fuselage, satellite antenna, wall panel. To avoid transmission the vibration structure-borne sound, radial or polar periodicity be used. these cases, numerical approaches to study free forced wave propagation close excitation in coordinates are desirable. This is paper’s aim, where method based on Floquet-theory FE discretision finite slice periodic presented verified. Only small analysed, which approximated using piecewise Cartesian segments. Wave characteristics each segment obtained by theory structures Finite Element analysis, while amplitude change due changes geometry accommodated model assuming that energy flow through segments same. Forced response then evaluated domain. Results verified for infinite isotropic thin plate excited point harmonic force. A with thickness studied. Free waves shown, nearfield evaluated, showing validity computational advantage compared analysis structures.

HALL AND LON-SLIP EFFECTS ON MAGNETO-MICROPOLAR FLUID WITH COMBINED FORCED AND FREE CONVECTION IN BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OVER A HORIZONTAL PLATE WITH VISCOUS DISSIPATION

In this paper, we study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate by taking in to account the viscous dissipation effects. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using qu...

Forced wave motion with internal and boundary damping.

A d'Alembert-based solution of forced wave motion with internal and boundary damping is presented with the specific intention of investigating the transient response. The dynamic boundary condition is a convenient method to model the absorption and reflection effects of an interface without considering coupled PDE's. Problems with boundary condition of the form [Formula: see text] are not self-...

A High Order Approximation of the Two Dimensional Acoustic Wave Equation with Discontinuous Coefficients

This paper concerns with the modeling and construction of a fifth order method for two dimensional acoustic wave equation in heterogenous media. The method is based on a standard discretization of the problem on smooth regions and a nonstandard method for nonsmooth regions. The construction of the nonstandard method is based on the special treatment of the interface using suitable jump conditio...

Wave Motion and Stop-Bands in Pipes with Helical Characteristics Using Wave Finite Element Analysis

Pipes are widely used in many industrial and mechanical applications and devices. Although there are many different constructions according to the specific application and device, these can show helical pattern, such as spiral pipes, wire-reinforced pipes/shells, spring-suspension, and so on. Theoretical modelling of wave propagation provides a prediction about the dynamic behavior, and it is f...

Two-Dimensional Periodicity in Rectangular Arrays

String matching is rich with a variety of algorithmic tools. In contrast, multidimensional matching has had a rather sparse set of techniques. This paper presents a new algorithmic technique for two-dimensional matching: periodicity analysis. Its strength appears to lie in the fact that it is inherently two-dimensional. Periodicity in strings has been used to solve string matching problems. Mul...
